Welcome!!
The school year is well underway and exciting things are happening at Elkhart Lake Middle School. We have had Homecoming activities, the 7th grade bike trip and a PALS event. The 7th and 8th graders are busy getting their homework done and studying for tests.
This semester I will have a student teacher in my classroom. Her name is Maggie Golbach. She is a former graduate of Elkhart Lake High School. She is starting to take over several teaching duties so far. Maggie is attending UW-Stevens Point for special education. She has adjusted well to our routine and has many exciting lessons to teach the students.
Again we will participate in PALS(People Actively Learning Social Skills). This group was formally known as Best Buddies. My student attend as peer models and work on using leadership skills with students with multiple disabilities. Every month we attend a life skills fieldtrip to model friendship and tolerance with other student from neighboring schools. Participation is voluntary, but watch for more posts with pictures and videos to see what PALS is about.
Please feel free to contact me at anytime this school year. I look forward to a fantastic and productive school year.

Summer School was a BLAST!
As summer school winds down for another year, I want to thank the students in my classes for their enthusiasm and dedication. I had a blast teaching this summer and I hope all my students enjoyed themselves. Take a look at the videos to see what they accomplished.
Fantastic Photos allowed student to take photos and use creativity to embellish them.
Cooking from Scratch focused on measurement and following directions to make the students' favorite foods.
Volleyball gave students a chance to learn how to bump, set, spike and serve. They even got to play on sand!
